I put the last of the blue icky popcorn to use... also snapped a  picture of our Christmas tree and of course put Olive Greenly in my older sister's vintage Santa pjs and a vintage pixie hat. I used photoshop to edit.

3 months!

 Woo Olive is 3 months today! Keep on growing lil girl!! This dress officially fits her, she is SO wearing it on Sunday for church... again.

God Made the Sun @ 1 MONTH

I chose one song to sing over and over while Olive was in my belly. This was it, God Made the Sun. I worked at a preschool my entire pregnancy, except the last two weeks or so. We sing this song as a prayer before meals... many others but this one has grown to be my favorite. The only difference is we say amen and dig in at the end. Olive seems to recognize it... or at least I think she does. 

Each month for an entire year I will post her doing hand motions and we will watch her learn them by one years old, I am hoping she even sings it! I can't wait to see how she grows and learns.

 

Baby'O arrived...now she is 1 month today!

My Baby'O arrived on August 23, 2012 at 9:49pm. I had been waiting for this lil lady for a long time. I never claimed to hope it was a lil girl but I sure had a ton of vintage and upcycled clothes collected for one. Probably because girls are easier to shop for. I have boys stuff too though. This site is devoted to baby vintage clothes and always longed for a model and now we will be seeing more of that.

How did I come up with her name? Olive Greenly came about because of Circles Are Forever. I hand paint on bottle caps which I call O's ie O'magnet O'button O'sews etc. I needed a name for Baby'O! The most adorable name was Olive... and I like Keith Green a ton so I thought of something like Green which was a name I loved on a soap opra Greenly. It made perfect sense and perfect harmony! This name was made up at least back in 2007 that I can remember. Since then I have seen it around a few places. Which youd think it wasnt around but sure is...

Oh me Oh my! A Lil O'

After a long devotion (2007?) to stocking up on the cutest baby vintage and upcycled items, I am now safe to say I am having Baby'O in a few days or weeks! I've had this blog and got to share my collectables that I found at thrift shops, garage sales, estate sales, swap meets, hand me downs, purchases through Etsy… but mainly Everso Clothing’s shop, etc. It had been way more exciting to find wee treasures than adult sizes. I have had a few models that were boys which are my nephews. There weren't many chances either. I never took pictures of a girl in my clothes. I will now have a model to put in these lovelies. This is so exciting, my very own baby dolly!!
