Gustafer Yellowgold

I had been babysitting Lily when I discovered the great music of Gustafer Yellowgold. It was during her nap time...I did a search for nap music/stations for kids and found him! We heard I jump on cake and Lily of course wasn't sleeping because she sat up and said "i jump on cake?" hehehe. That was such a funny moment. Over the years Gustafer's collection has grown. Jon had bought me (while dating) a package of a cd/dvd/sticker/plush doll/tattoo/magnet... I believe.

I found out he is from the sun, he is yellow, loves jumping on cake on birthdays, has some awesome rocket shoes....friends: a mint green bee, pterodactyls in tuxedos, dragons and the list goes on. Go on and take a look at the website I don't want to spoil anything with my words. Read up on Gustafer's singer/songwriter/illustrator, Morgan Taylor too!

PS- Every year my child will have the option to jump on cake. This is a promise.

Flower power Jump Suit

Would you put this on your girl or boy? Does red mean girlie? Does a flower in the 70s give the right for a boy to have a shot in this without looking totally wacky?

Orange Flower Retro dress

This is kinda funny but I almost gave this dress to a puppet. I used to be a puppeteer and loved my African puppet named Penny. She was the cutest but I knew in the end, it would look awesome on a little girl one day so I brought it back home finally. This dress is in perfect condition, just needs some ironing. It for an older child as well... possibly early elementary.

HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

Yellow Plaid Jumper

August is coming to an end so this are a great way for the "last day of August 2008 post".

I had bought this for my cousin/niece Kat. She grew out of it and I got it back! That happens some times. I believe she wore this as bathing suit too. I know my little sister Tina did that as well with similar outfits.

Mystery Apple Dress

This one is a funny one. I got this at a swap meet... its not too old but the embroidery tells me of some history.

Please take a guess as to what the brown thing hanging out of the apple is. I am so confused. The worm is walking towards it...so I don't think it's a worm...or is it?

Let me know your thoughts on this piece.

here is the etsy forum about it:

Blue Flower Halter Dress

This is a swap meet find. The vest halter is attached to the skirt. I can imagine it being layered with leggings and an under shirt and possibly a cute vintage and boots in the winter. Of course, in warmer weather, perfect the way it is.

Strawberry Patch and Critter Friend Shorts

I bought these little shorts at one of my favorite(now) non-existent thrift stores. It had closed down a while ago. They always had awesome vintage baby clothing. As you can probably guess these are the sweetest shorts on my page. Maybe Everso will make some one day :)

Retro Rainbow Dress

Another thrift find at a great price! Of course I had gotten it years ago... I have not shopped in a while for my collection.

Groovy Dress

I got this one at a swap meet. It's quite simple: awesome pattern and zips up in the back. It will fit an older child, possibly one in early grade school. I rarely collect larger dresses, but sometimes it's a must :)

Poppy Sundress

Aww!
EVERSO cute cute cute 3-tier sundress, featuring ric rac trim & Alexander Henry fabrics. Poppies & 60's girls! Hurray! Elastic top with shoulder ties. Should fit 2T, 3T, 4T.
15 inches in total length, from elastic to bottom. Such a sweet dress .

OK I was on etsy a lil over a year ago and saw the fresh items that pop up every 15 seconds and spotted this! This is when it all started, my Everso Clothing obsession. That day I had bought it in seconds from when she posted it and boy did that surprise Rach. Get her stuff before it is all wiped out from me. When I have the money her shop will in fact be wiped out...

Custom EVERSO Crib Quilt and Pillow

I am so thrilled to have had the chance to have a quilt made by the lovely Rach. It is a 33X50 inch crib quilt made from new & vintage materials (machine quilted). This includes bits of vintage embroidery, high-loft batting, handmade binding & vintage rick rack (hand-stitched around the binding). The quilt and pillow are backed in pink & white ticking-striped flannel.
The matching tiny 8X8.5 inch baby pillow consists of a new muslin pillow & quilted pillowcase with the same backing as the blanket, as mentioned earlier. This is one-of-a-kind... but HELLO so is everything else she makes.

Let's just say my kiddo will stand apart from the rest of the kids dressed...as well as laying in his/her nest.

My first upcycled dress

I had bought this a year or so ago and still claim it as my ultimate favorite. It has an apron skirt attached and ties in the back. It opens up , as you can slightly see that it is not attached at the bottom. The fabric is very bright still and has so much character for being vintage. There is so much detail and style to this dress, it amazes me.

I will post another item tomorrow, so drop back in.
