God Made the Sun @ 1 MONTH

I chose one song to sing over and over while Olive was in my belly. This was it, God Made the Sun. I worked at a preschool my entire pregnancy, except the last two weeks or so. We sing this song as a prayer before meals... many others but this one has grown to be my favorite. The only difference is we say amen and dig in at the end. Olive seems to recognize it... or at least I think she does.

Each month for an entire year I will post her doing hand motions and we will watch her learn them by one years old, I am hoping she even sings it! I can't wait to see how she grows and learns.

Blue Flower Halter Dress

This is a swap meet find. The vest halter is attached to the skirt. I can imagine it being layered with leggings and an under shirt and possibly a cute vintage and boots in the winter. Of course, in warmer weather, perfect the way it is.

Strawberry Patch and Critter Friend Shorts

I bought these little shorts at one of my favorite(now) non-existent thrift stores. It had closed down a while ago. They always had awesome vintage baby clothing. As you can probably guess these are the sweetest shorts on my page. Maybe Everso will make some one day :)

Poppy Sundress

Aww!
EVERSO cute cute cute 3-tier sundress, featuring ric rac trim & Alexander Henry fabrics. Poppies & 60's girls! Hurray! Elastic top with shoulder ties. Should fit 2T, 3T, 4T.
15 inches in total length, from elastic to bottom. Such a sweet dress .

OK I was on etsy a lil over a year ago and saw the fresh items that pop up every 15 seconds and spotted this! This is when it all started, my Everso Clothing obsession. That day I had bought it in seconds from when she posted it and boy did that surprise Rach. Get her stuff before it is all wiped out from me. When I have the money her shop will in fact be wiped out...

Sweet, Not TOO Foo Foo Dress

Here is a sweet vintage dress from rachzel's vintage collection. I am now the thankful owner of the loveliness. I heart the sheerness, pink and lace on it. It is so foo foo yet not too much. It is such a birthday party dress...the one where she thinks she is a princess at someone else's b-day party :)

Basket of Flowers Tunic and Skirt Set

I love how a child can grow into most Everso Clothing. In this case the skirt underneath has elastic, perfect for growth and can be mix matched as well as the top. The top apron has a tie so it can be used for growth and can be a dress or used as a shirt.

This EVERSO sweet one-of-a-kind peach & pink 2 piece set made from recycled vintage aprons, vintage embroidered linens & reproduction fabric. The tunic features crocheted lace & vintage embroidery. It ties in the back with a bow. The skirt has an elastic waist & features an attached apron.
This fits 18mos- 2T. The skirt waist is 17-20 inches & length is 10 inches. The tunic full length is 18 inches. There is an open-sided design of the tunic enables it to be worn beyond these sizes as a top or smock. lOve,kim*

Blue Vest Skirt Dress

This is an interesting lil' dress that I found at a swap meet. It TOTALLY reminds me of an EVERSO CLOTHING creation. I had walked into a pile of randomness and actually thought it was just that. Then I saw a plastic zip up bag and found this in the midst of old rags! Never miss out on taking the chance to dig into a pile or you will miss something very unique. the vest is connected to the skirt, therefore making it a dress :) i don't think I have washed this yet, I am not sure if it is really as dirty as it looks in the photos. Either way I know it's quite the cute type and worth any of the trouble. I do not mind character on an original.

I do love how the fabric looks like there is an apron in the perfect spot. Also the buttons are sewn on so it does not open up in the front. If I am wrong, I will let you know when I have the time to bring this cutey out. I am pretty sure though it is closed up.

Pink Flower Jumper

Here is a vintage pink jumper I had bought at a thrift shop. I see some new ones made in etsy land. It is rare to find these in such great condition. If you do find one they usually cost an arm and a leg, new or used. Thank God for awesome finds :) I do truly love the pink and flower power going on here.

Floral Oriental Girl Skirt.

You can probably take a few guesses what is used to make this skirt and you'll be right. It is a mini skirt (actually a has a lil' poof), for a mini person. I love how Rachzel used some vintage and new fabric. The fabric of the little oriental girl is also found on my quilt!

Red a-line dress

Oh I felt like I was in baby dress heaven when I stumbled upon this. I am typically one of those swap meet shoppers that goes home empty handed... not this time! This is an original vintage a-line dress, not one of those you find on etsy with new fabric. It is in PERFECT condition. The fabric, ric-rack, and all the way to the buttons, I can not believe I own this. If you love this, wait until you see tomorrows dress!

I'm a Sailor mommy

Here on my nephew, back when he was at least 8 months old, is a sailor jumper. We had a grand ol' time trying to get these snap shots. Boy did he move quick! I had picked this up at a swap meet or thrift shop some time ago. It fits a 8-12 month old. I am pretty sure it is from the 50's at least, if not the 40s. The material is pretty thick and seems as if it could last for more than a lifetime. Actually I really don't know the year, but I know it is vintage! The tag reads "Florence Eiseman". That was the closest name I could make of it. It also says "Custom made" on the same tag.

I had to undo the red tie, unzip the front, and try to squeeze him into this with out ripping it. oh and you know that white little cloth inside on the top? It buttons twice! I managed to keep one button on but them I had to rebutton it, rezip and be tie that red piece. Boy was that a chore! It was all worth it for these photos. I am pretty sure his mommy appreciates our hard work.

*if anyone knows more history on this let me know. I did some research on Florence, but could not find out if there were custom sailor suits. Although I do know there are children clothing collections. That is a good sign!

Custom EVERSO Crib Quilt and Pillow

I am so thrilled to have had the chance to have a quilt made by the lovely Rach. It is a 33X50 inch crib quilt made from new & vintage materials (machine quilted). This includes bits of vintage embroidery, high-loft batting, handmade binding & vintage rick rack (hand-stitched around the binding). The quilt and pillow are backed in pink & white ticking-striped flannel.
The matching tiny 8X8.5 inch baby pillow consists of a new muslin pillow & quilted pillowcase with the same backing as the blanket, as mentioned earlier. This is one-of-a-kind... but HELLO so is everything else she makes.

Let's just say my kiddo will stand apart from the rest of the kids dressed...as well as laying in his/her nest.

My first upcycled dress

I had bought this a year or so ago and still claim it as my ultimate favorite. It has an apron skirt attached and ties in the back. It opens up , as you can slightly see that it is not attached at the bottom. The fabric is very bright still and has so much character for being vintage. There is so much detail and style to this dress, it amazes me.

I will post another item tomorrow, so drop back in.
