Here is a cutie! Just found him today! Can you tell I am excited? Size 4 made in Italy, not sure if it's vintage but it has that appeal anyway.

Tuk-A-Way Stroller
I am so lost in what I have posted and haven't. Oh well, this is my 1970s stroller called the Tuk-A-Way by Columbia. Yes that is the same company as the bike!
Here are some full photos of it I found from a site:
http://www.prammuseum.com/strollers70.html
I have taken quite a few family members out in this. Of course never my own children since they do not exist yet but eventually!
I also want to ask my favorite etsy lady to make me a new seat cover. SOON!
Here are a few words I wrote:
12:17:2003 -kimberly l.romero
if there was ever a girl to dream, who would win a trophy , that girl would have to be me.
Mrs. I-N-C-O-N S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y.
Mrs. when are things going to happen to me.
if there was ever a time to make the clock's beat stop, to allow me to think, i'd tap my toes
and sing along to a rhyme which makes sense. this isn't my home, i know.
this is my lay-a-way. my life bought with sheer blood ,
my tuk-a-way , im rolling on two wobbley wheels.
if you know what i mean jelly bean.
then give me a ring...please?
maybe?
OK or not.

Belly Sprout
Since I am on a roll with non-vintage things. I wanted to bring up the fact that I went to the Belly Sprout 2 year Anniversary Party2 weekends ago. Since I am child-less I headed for the all natural beauty bar. I got lip gloss & liner. They are pretty good my lips have not been dried out! I had a terrible problem with that and VOILA! I am all healed. The old gloss was terrible that I was using so I tossed it.
OKAY to get back to the kiddish/wee subject I had entered a drawing to win a few things...and of course I won! Not of course, but of course I had to of if I am writing in here about it.
I won a gift basket full of over $200 worth of items!
I will show a picture of some items in the basket:
Safe Sippy, which I gave to my 1 yr old nephew:
A Moby Wrap, I have one already so i will give it to my sister when she has her 3rd baby in june (i used to nanny twin new borns/infants so thats why i bought this one a few years ago, but here is a photo of me with my nephew)-
i also got Putumayo Kids Asian Dreamland
some natural toys without toxic chemicals too and more!
I am too tired to name it all off but look forward to my picture with the basket on the Bellysprout.com site. :)

Mountain Aven Baby Harvest Tee -- long sleeves
Although this is not "vintage", it is wee! It also beats having prints on shirts. That is the thing about buying clothing these days, you can hardly find something "well made" and can tell when something is mass produced. I see my vintage items and can tell there was alot of heart into the items rather than all print and no heart funk in it. I need that extra touch to appreciate an item.
I won this a week ago during a blog contest. It is such a sweet, well made long sleeve. The softness of the cotton and applique work on the orange leaf patch is impeccable. I am thankful for this lil' winning top.
Visit: mountainavenbaby.etsy.com because it is worth it.

Boy Jacket!
This sweet polyester cotton jacket is the sweetest i have because:
1- it is tiny for a 12 month old
2- it is still soft and made by the tootsie roll company!
I had given this to my sister for her 2 boys and they wore it a few times, she just doesn't appreciate vintage as i do...but I am thankful she saved it to give it back. That is my thing, if I give vintage, make sure to save it for me when you are done. LOL. I'm such an indian giver.

Train Statia
I want to throw in something different today. I took these photos early 2007 while babysitting this darling lady. It's at the train "statia" as she called it. We would argue about the real name, I finally gave in after realizing that is a dang cute name! This is down town Fullerton by the way. It is real fun over there. We had fun :)

80s Pinafore
This is probably the funkiest and most unique pinafore that I have ever seen. It is a vest style and yet has the cris-cross in the back. It has that Emily Martin button thing going on :)

Orange Flower Retro dress
This is kinda funny but I almost gave this dress to a puppet. I used to be a puppeteer and loved my African puppet named Penny. She was the cutest but I knew in the end, it would look awesome on a little girl one day so I brought it back home finally. This dress is in perfect condition, just needs some ironing. It for an older child as well... possibly early elementary.

Yellow Plaid Jumper
August is coming to an end so this are a great way for the "last day of August 2008 post".
I had bought this for my cousin/niece Kat. She grew out of it and I got it back! That happens some times. I believe she wore this as bathing suit too. I know my little sister Tina did that as well with similar outfits.

Mystery Apple Dress
This one is a funny one. I got this at a swap meet... its not too old but the embroidery tells me of some history.
Please take a guess as to what the brown thing hanging out of the apple is. I am so confused. The worm is walking towards it...so I don't think it's a worm...or is it?
Let me know your thoughts on this piece.
here is the etsy forum about it:

Strawberry Patch and Critter Friend Shorts
I bought these little shorts at one of my favorite(now) non-existent thrift stores. It had closed down a while ago. They always had awesome vintage baby clothing. As you can probably guess these are the sweetest shorts on my page. Maybe Everso will make some one day :)

Groovy Dress
I got this one at a swap meet. It's quite simple: awesome pattern and zips up in the back. It will fit an older child, possibly one in early grade school. I rarely collect larger dresses, but sometimes it's a must :)

Poppy Sundress
Aww!
EVERSO cute cute cute 3-tier sundress, featuring ric rac trim & Alexander Henry fabrics. Poppies & 60's girls! Hurray! Elastic top with shoulder ties. Should fit 2T, 3T, 4T.
15 inches in total length, from elastic to bottom. Such a sweet dress .
OK I was on etsy a lil over a year ago and saw the fresh items that pop up every 15 seconds and spotted this! This is when it all started, my Everso Clothing obsession. That day I had bought it in seconds from when she posted it and boy did that surprise Rach. Get her stuff before it is all wiped out from me. When I have the money her shop will in fact be wiped out...

Sweet, Not TOO Foo Foo Dress
Here is a sweet vintage dress from rachzel's vintage collection. I am now the thankful owner of the loveliness. I heart the sheerness, pink and lace on it. It is so foo foo yet not too much. It is such a birthday party dress...the one where she thinks she is a princess at someone else's b-day party :)

Blue Vest Skirt Dress
This is an interesting lil' dress that I found at a swap meet. It TOTALLY reminds me of an EVERSO CLOTHING creation. I had walked into a pile of randomness and actually thought it was just that. Then I saw a plastic zip up bag and found this in the midst of old rags! Never miss out on taking the chance to dig into a pile or you will miss something very unique. the vest is connected to the skirt, therefore making it a dress :) i don't think I have washed this yet, I am not sure if it is really as dirty as it looks in the photos. Either way I know it's quite the cute type and worth any of the trouble. I do not mind character on an original.
I do love how the fabric looks like there is an apron in the perfect spot. Also the buttons are sewn on so it does not open up in the front. If I am wrong, I will let you know when I have the time to bring this cutey out. I am pretty sure though it is closed up.

Pink Flower Jumper
Here is a vintage pink jumper I had bought at a thrift shop. I see some new ones made in etsy land. It is rare to find these in such great condition. If you do find one they usually cost an arm and a leg, new or used. Thank God for awesome finds :) I do truly love the pink and flower power going on here.
